The urban architecture project
Together with the english company MillerHare we were given the project of “The King’s Cross” in London to work with for about 3 weeks. I was given the residential area which included three different buildings - N1, N2 and T1. Researching the whole area, using Google Street View and MillerHare's PDF files full of information, the assignment was to create a hero shot and a vignette (detailed) shot. I decided to go with T1, "the Tapestry building", since I really liked the material choice combining terracotta with steel. The project was based on the knowledge from the academic year. With that said, we had to texturize and model the whole area as accurately as possible showing the lifestyle of the people actually living there. During the project, we also received feedback from the company continuously, as the only form of help during the project. Made in 3Ds Max with Corona render, post production in Photoshop.
